The gates to Fieldays opened on June 16th and by the end of June 19th, a whopping 132,776 visitors had passed through the gates, making it the highest attended Fieldays since 2017. It was pretty wet and cold at times but it didn’t stop the crowds from coming, making Fieldays 2021 one of the most successful events of the year.
Minginui Nursery was a first-time exhibitor at the event with the aim to increase consumer brand awareness and showcase our plants. Unsurprisingly, our most frequently asked question was “where is Minginui?” and we relished the opportunity to showcase our nursery and the village on a national platform. It was great to receive such positive feedback on our site design and the quality of our plant stock.
While meeting and chatting with new customers and catching up with existing clients what stood out to us was how much interest and enthusiasm there is for planting native trees. Many of the visitors to our site had started planting or were in the planning stages and we were able to assist them with plant selection for their chosen areas. Planting sites can vary considerably so finding the right plant for the right place is very important for a successful outcome.
We’ve grown from the experience and look forward to attending next year’s Fieldays from 15-18 June 2022!
