Patē is a small spreading tree with stunning palmate glossy leaves of up to 9 narrow leaflets. Clusters of starry white flowers hang below in summer turning white to purple berries.

Found in damp forests across the country, Patē is great to plant in tropical plantings, in landscaping and alongside stream banks. It can also be a great container plant.
